ambient environment.
We visited Thai Spice for dinner on a Friday
evening before the start of the pandemic, and were
immediately impressed with the tasteful interior
décor, accented with gorgeous Thai accents and
tapestries. Cindy, the primary chef at the restaurant,
was our hostess for the evening. She advised that she
would prepare for us a few of their most popular
items, but also invited us to select any items from
their menu that looked especially appealing. My
guest and I ordered the appetizer combo plate,
and three specials: Crab Fried Rice, Baby Back
Ribs, and Massaman Beef Curry. We were soon in
culinary heaven, as plate after plate of beautifully
presented food was delivered to our table. All items
were steaming hot and aromatic, and portions
were generous. Favorites of the evening included
the Baby Back Ribs, the Crab Fried Rice, and the
scrumptious eggrolls from the appetizer combo
plate. Cindy checked on us throughout the evening,
each time bringing another menu selection for us to
sample. Our table had no space for more plates, and
undoubtedly other patrons wondered why we had
ordered so much food for just two of us!
Though we were both quite full, we did not
decline the Sticky Rice with Mango dessert. The
fruit was perfectly ripened and sweet, and the sticky
rice was reminiscent of sweet, thick tapioca pudding.
Several other desserts and a variety of non-alcoholic
beverages, including the popular Thai hot or iced tea,
round out the Thai Spice menu.
Our visit to Thai Spice was a superb dining
experience! The restaurant is open seven days a week
for lunch from 11 AM to 3 PM, and for dinner
from 5 PM to 9 PM. They have a robust take-out
business and have a dedicated number to phone in
to-go orders. Partake of a leisurely lunch or dinner in
their dining room, or order take-out to enjoy while
spending a quiet evening at home. You will surely
want to add Thai Spice to your list of local favorites!
