Audiences can expect a host of unfavorable circumstances to plague the lovably misfortunate Banks family, and clever capers on the part of their nanny, Mary, to bail them out in the musical based upon P.L. Travers’ book and the 1964 film. The whimsical show will be performed by Marquee Productions, the professional cast from Children’s Musical Theatre San Jose, and is certain to delight multigenerational viewers with its classically catchy tunes, smart staging and timeless message. Based on the award-winning BBC television series, the arena spectacular traces the history of earth through time, depicting the evolution of 10 species of dinosaurs. Every feature of the life-size creatures, from the skin to the eyes to the feathery crests, was created with substantial input from paleontologists. Anderson’s Insight Most TV viewers recognize Anderson Cooper from his popular anchor role on CNN. The journalist has traveled all over the world covering wars, natural disasters and genocide, but it was his work during Hurricane Katrina that caused viewers to sit up and take note of his craft. Unlike his colleagues, Cooper set aside the stoicism usually associated with reporting and replaced it with an empathetic approach to interviewing.
