But she does much more than just making people laugh – she uses her special brand of humor to open hearts and minds, too. From Dec. 26 to 28, the performer for whom nothing is taboo heads south for five shows. Fans never know what might pop out of her mouth, but it’s likely that she’ll shoot down some stereotypes while simultaneously offering her hilarious perspective on a social issue. The Wonder of Stevie It’s been 38 years since Stevie Wonder released his 1978 doublealbum “Songs in the Key of Life,” yet many of the record’s themes are still relevant today. On Dec. 5, the legendary singer will perform the opus in its entirety in Oakland, in a nearly 3-hour performance that marks the final stop on his 11-city tour. He’ll be backed by an enormous band consisting of more than 40 musicians, as he belts out favorites including “Have a Talk with God,” “Knocks Me Off My Feet” and “Village Ghetto Land.” But if you really want to hear the talented multiinstrumentalist in this rare performance, you’d better hurry – tickets are selling out fast.
