JANUARY 4: BOOK SALE AT THE RICHMOND PUBLIC LIBRARY
10am-6pm. The Friends of the Richmond Public Library Monthly
Sale offering gently used books for $0.30, CDs & DVDs for $0.50,
and Blu-ray discs for $1 with special box sets for $2-$15! Books
are sold daily at the Main, Bayview, and West Side libraries for
$0.50 - $1 during regular library hours. Funds raised support
library programs for all ages. We accept donations every
Wednesday from 10-6pm at the Richmond Main Library, 325 Civic

JANUARY 7: SAN PABLO HISTORICAL AND MUSEUM
SOCIETY: THE ALVARADO ADOBE AND BLUME HOUSE
MUSEUMS
11am-3pm. Free Admission. Come and explore our museums
and learn the fascinating history of San Pablo. The Alvarado
Adobe is a re-creation of the 1840 adobe house that was home to
Governor of California Juan Bautista Alvarado. The Blume House
is a 1905 farmhouse decorated with items of the period and
its Bunkhouse has farm machinery from that same period. The
Alvarado Adobe is located at Church Lane at San Pablo Avenue.
The Blume House is at13873 San Pablo Avenue. We are also
open by appointment to individuals and groups as well. For more
