with Latin influences, Boombox Cartel
has risen the ranks as a contender in the

Williams, known professionally as
Meek Mill, is a provocative rapper and

and later formed a short-lived rap group,
The Bloodhoundz. Catch the lyrical flow as

Symphony Silicon Valley: Tchaikovsky
Fifth Symphony. March 2-3, times vary. This
concert’s opener is a musical tour through
the folk traditions Bartok studied — full of
life and complex rhythm. Barber’s virtuosic
concerto follows, with a brilliant ending that
is a test of the violinist’s skill. The second
half brings Tchaikovsky’s magnificent symphony
— famously played through without
pause during a ferocious bombing attack during

singer-songwriter and musician Gordon
Lightfoot brings his 80 Years Strong tour to

p.m. George Kahumoku Jr., Led Kaapana,
and Jeff Peterson are three master slack key

been one of Hawaii’s most influential
