Soak in the first sounds of summer
with Carlos Santana at BottleRock
Napa Valley, one of the Bay Area’s
most iconic concert festivals. The
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rocker
celebrates the 20th anniversary
of his groundbreaking album
“Supernatural” and 50th
anniversary of his legendary
Woodstock performance with
a wine-infused Memorial Day
weekend show amongst the vineyards
at BottleRock Napa Valley.
Other headliners include Imagine
Dragons, Neil Young, Mumford & Sons
and 78 other eclectic emerging artists. The festival’s A-list lineup,
top-notch wine, gourmet food and craft brew draw upwards of
100,000 revelers every year. May 24–26, times vary. 3-Day general
Capitol Steps comedy troupe storms the stage with “Make
America Grin Again,” their latest send-up of the people and
institutions that once employed them. Their improvisational
comedy lampoons politicians and tackles major current issues with
bipartisan snark and equal opportunity satire. Highlights include
everyone’s favorite political scandals and players of the past few
years—Stormy Daniels, Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh
and of course, President Donald Trump. Aimed
at both sides of the political aisle, they promise to bring
the laughs, regardless of whether you’re a “a snowflake
or a deplorable.” April 14, 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets
$55–$60. Montalvo Arts Center, 15400 Montalvo
Road, Saratoga. 408/961-5858.
