documentary photographer and photojournalist
is best known for her Depression-era photographs
that humanized the consequences
of the Great Depression. See 40 of her works

Nguyen’s ability to highlight beauty in the

This Is Not a Selfie: Photographic Self-Portraits
from the Audrey and Sidney Irmas

Selfie” includes iconic images from photographic

Opie and others. The exhibition traces themes
of self-reflection, performance and memory.

Louise Nevelson: The Fourth Dimension.
Oct. 1–March 18, 2018. New Yorker Louise
Nevelson created dramatic and monumental
sculptures often made from found objects and
discarded pieces of wood gathered from city
streets. This exhibition will focus on one of
her earliest of these large, monochromatic wall

Filoli Florilegium Exhibition. Oct. 2–22. A
growing collection with currently more than
30 original works, the entire Filoli Florilegium
will be on display. The purpose of the Florilegium
is to document the plant materials of
Filoli within a historic perspective, using traditional
methods of botanical illustration. While
